Hi Foodies,
This is my blog, where I am going to show you my cooking journey! Other than making a bowl of cereal and maybe a good piece of toast my cooking skills are very limited. I enjoy eating, so in middle school (grades 6, 7, and 8) and grade 9, I took a cooking class. Unfortunately, I didn’t really learn much other than food safety, the anatomy of a bean, how to cut fruit, and make canned soup. I have also always enjoyed watching the food network with my parents, even though it always made me hungry. I do not have a theme to my cooking, but I value nutrition and want to work on incorporating as many food groups and healthy ingredients into my dishes as possible. I have decided to start off slow and make something slightly more challenging each week. My mom has a few home recipes and cookbooks that I may pull some ideas from, while other recipes will be completely experimental. This blog will allow me to try new foods and experience cooking on my own. For my first week I plan to make an omelette… stay tuned.
